Description

A classic style of green tea with a grassy taste. The taste is a result of drying and light roasting. In addition to this, green teas are not oxidized due the de-enzyming process. This process in tea production is used to stop the oxidative browning of tea leaves by denaturing the enzymes responsible for oxidation– polyphenol oxidase and peroxidase. This prevents the tea from having a strong malty taste and gives a more bitter taste characterized for most green teas. Green teas are also higher in anti-oxidants that reduce free radicals leading to good health benefits like reduced blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

Origin: Our teas are sourced from the high altitude hills of Nepal ranging from 4000 to 8000 feet. These specialty teas are grown and plucked by local farmers.

I was impressed from very first sip. The taste and freshness was well beyond any other Green tea I have ever tasted. As a Green tea lover, I have tried different other brand too but Himalko Tea (Classic Green) has best quality. This is my current go-to green tea.

A very nice flavor for a green. Very refreshing. Highly recommended!

  3. Jelenski

Exactly what was described by the seller. I recieved exactly what i expected. Great premium green tea, highly recommended.

I have always been a black tea or pu’erh tea drinker. When I’ve tried green tea in the past, the “grassy” taste wasn’t for me. The description (and sale price) of this tea made me decide to give Clouds and Mist a go. I loved it! It is a more nuanced flavor profile as compared to the robust morning teas I am used to drinking. This just made me stop and appreciate the delicate, slightly nutty flavor as I drank it. I do two infusions, the first hot and the second cold brew, and both are delicious. I like my morning caffeine, and this tea had just enough to successfully replace my usual black tea. This will be a regular addition to my morning tea rotation.
