Description
The leaves plucked to make Himalko White is characterized by two leaves and a silver bud. These leaves are hand plucked in the high altitude hills of Eastern Nepal. The tea leaves have an aromatic mellow flavor. High heat drying increases this flavor and the tea also has grassy notes.
Origin: Our teas are sourced from the high altitude hills of Nepal ranging from 4000 to 8000 feet. These specialty teas are grown and plucked by local farmers.
How to brew this tea?
Add one tablespoon (1.5 to 3 g) of tea leaves for every 8 ounces of water to the tea infuser/pot. Pour hot water (200-212F°) over the tea leaves and steep for 2 to 5 minutes.

As a tea lover, I can say Himalko tea is one of the best Tea out there. Especially I love Himalko white.

The tea leaves are mostly whole and packed very loosely. This makes it a little harder to judge the amount of tea you’re putting into the pot without a scale. But, I’m a little fixated on exact measurements so I used a digital scale.
The flavor is complex, floral with fruity hints but there’s, almost a tart taste in the background. The color is on the yellow side of orange. Each subsequent brew changes the relative strength of the various flavor notes ever so slightly. I can usually get 4 strong brews out of a teapot before it starts to really fade out.

My wife and I love this brand of White Tea from Nepal. I am very happy that we can order online. I used to think I couldn’t have tea after about 10 a.m., but this tea is so mild that I can drink a mug up to early afternoon without disrupting sleep. Lovely that the leaves can be used twice. There’s something about this particular tea that just infuses me with joy as I drink it.
